Q: Why do I need to complete this affidavit in order to win a prize?

A:
There are a few possible answers to this common question: 1) When entering a Sweepstakes, certain eligibility requirements need to be met to ensure the integrity of the Promotion; potential winners sign the affidavits swearing to the statements on the affidavit as true and the Notary attests that it is actually that person that is signing the Affidavit. 2) We have to make sure that potential winners do not work for the Sponsor or for any of their entities, are age appropriate and are eligible according to the Official Rules. 3) We ask for your Social Security number in the event we need to file a #1099 Tax Form.

Q:I haven't opened my mail for awhile and just realized that I am a potential winner, but the time has lapsed that was allotted for me to return my affidavit. Am I still considered a potential winner?

A: You should email or call your account representative; an alternate winner may have been selected. Your account representative's name, number and email address should be at the bottom of the letter sent to you.

Q:I have entered a Contest by writing an essay, submitting a photo, etc., but have yet to hear if I have won or not. What can I do?

A: If you have not heard from an Account Representative of Little & King to tell you that you are a potential winner, you can send a self addressed, stamped envelope to: 63-A Grand Ave, Massapequa, NY 11758 to request a Winners List (be sure to clearly mark on the outside of the envelope which Contest is in question and that you are requesting a Winners List); if you have already done so, please be patient due to the extensive periods of time it sometimes takes to clear winners in Contests and Sweepstakes, therefore delaying the release of the Winners List.

Q: When can I expect to receive my prize?

A: 10 - 12 weeks after prize notification.

Q:I do not really want this prize, can I exchange it for cash or another prize?

A: No; the prize structure has been predetermined, therefore the prizes have been purchased already by the Sponsor.

Q: What are my tax liabilities for the prize I've won?

A: If your prize was valued under $600, you are responsible for reporting the value of the prize to the IRS. If you have won a prize that is valued over $600, we are required by law to file a # 1099 Miscellaneous Income Form with the IRS for the amount of the prize you have won. Your actual tax liability is dependant upon the tax bracket to which you belong and should be discussed more fully with your personal tax advisor.

Q:I am really excited about my prize and would like to thank the Sponsor. How can I contact them?

A: Sponsors love to hear feedback from Consumers. The positive feedback lets them know that people appreciate their Promotions, which inspires them to do more. Please send your feed back to us and we will forward them to the appropriate people. Any other questions, please email us. No phone calls will be accepted. You will receive an answer within 5 business days. Happy Sweepstaking!

Q: Why don't you accept phone calls unless we have been instructed to do so?

A: Calls are not accepted for legal reasons; sometimes conversations can be misinterpreted and confusion results. By responding in writing, the chance of discrepancy is decreased.
